Join us for a night of hand-building, wine tasting, and learning about the ancient connection between clay and wine!
A relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop where participants will learn basic handbuilding techniques to build their own wine cups out of clay while enjoying a wine tasting from our friends at Manny’s Wine Shop.
Amphoras are ceramic vessels used to store wine, a practice dating back to the Neolithic period. We will taste four wines fermented in amphoras and learn how they are made, why they are used, and how they impact the flavor of the wine.
This workshop will be hosted at Pyra in the back yard and light snacks will be provided. Students can expect to make 1-2 wine cups.
Rain date: Saturday, August 14.
